Our parent company, Salmones Austral, has been supplying premium Chilean salmon to the world’s finest hotels and restaurants for 25 years. In this time, they cultivated the expertise, care, and advances in aquaculture practices that serve as the backbone on which the Secret Island brand was founded. Looking for a direct way to reach consumers while addressing false perceptions about the aquaculture industry, Salmones Austral launched Secret Island Salmon, its first direct-to-consumer brand. With the fish farming industry’s complex history, education and transparency about our responsible processes have become core tenets of the Secret Island mission.
